Great African Minds - Art week

We’re in the second week of our Great African Minds series. Over the next five days our site will feature many great African artists, sculptors and photographers from north to southern Africa.

We’ve discovered a unique new contemporary African gallery in the heart of London. The Tiwani gallery. We’ll review the gallery and interview the directors about their thoughts on contemporary African art today. Look out for our slideshows galleries, interviews and reviews this week, and don’t forget to tell us about your favourite African artists .We’re always keen to hear all your suggestions and recommendations.

If all the exciting features weren’t enough, we’re also launching a photo competition as part of African art week!

You have a chance of winning a pair of tickets to see The Winters Tale in Yoruba or The Merry Wives of Windsor in Swahili at Shakespeare’s globe.

Do you have a favourite photo that shows Africa Differently? Post it on our Facebook wall or Tweet it to us. You have until Friday 24th at 12pm to enter then we’ll pick our favourite two. This is part of the Globe to Globe project which aims to produce many of Shakespeare’s plays in 37 languages from around the world.
