See Africa Differently: An Idea Worth Spreading

Here at See Africa Differently we want to share positive African stories that might otherwise remain unheard.  So this week we will be ploughing the TED Talk archives to bring ingenious bite sized lectures about our favourite continent.

TED believes passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world. They host hundreds of online videos which offer free knowledge and inspiration from some of the world's most inspired thinkers

From technology to economics, music to good old fashion story telling we’ll be sharing fascinating ideas, views and insights from TED. Prepare to have your eyes opened, your mind stretched and your expectations confounded.

At age 14, in poverty and famine, a Malawian boy built a windmill to power his family's home. Now at 22, William Kamkwamba, who speaks at TED, here, for the second time, shares in his own words the moving tale of invention that changed his life.

If you’ve read an inspirational story, seen some amazing images or watched a video on youtube that helps you to see Africa differently, why not share them  with us on twitter @see_africa or on facebook.com/seeafricadifferently
